As
a long-term forestry company, we are always interested in
adding quality forest land to our portfolio.
We
have looked at properties of all sizes, geographic
locations, timber types, and ages. Our current land
holdings are located in the western portion of Washington
State, western British Columbia, and the north end of the
South Island in New Zealand. Our preference, of course,
is to expand in these areas, but we are open to
evaluating sites in other locations.
As
a smaller company, we are able to act quickly if the
right property becomes available. As prudent buyers, we
will look at all important aspects of a property as they
relate to long-term forest management. These include:
access, productivity, topography, environmental
constraints, and neighboring uses.
We
have participated in many IRS Code 1031 exchanges and
have worked with owners in estate planning. We pride
ourselves in being flexible, professional and
