The Pysht Tree Farm has long been known for its
excellent hunting. Deer, elk, cougar and bear provide great sport for all
levels of skill. Acquired before Washington became a state, the Tree Farm
has a long history of stewardship. Managing the Tree Farm for over 100
years has come to require increased intensive management of all the Tree
Farm's resources. The Tree Farm is more than trees: it is also river and
stream systems, wildlife, fish and recreation. These resources must be
managed together for each to be at its best.
Recreational access to the Pysht Tree Farm is subject to the purchase of an annual access permit. The permit fee is $250, and permits are limited to the first 150 applicants. Permits may be purchased at the M&R office in Port Angeles beginning March 31. All hunters and fishers must have a valid Washington State hunting and/or fishing license.
Access to the Pysht Tree Farm during elk hunting season will be limited to several individuals whose names are drawn from among the annual permit holders. For additional information, please contact our office at Port Angeles:
