Hunting on the Pysht

Hunting on the Pysht Tree Farm

The Pysht Tree Farm has long been known for its excellent hunting. Deer, elk, cougar and bear provide great sport for all levels of skill. Acquired before Washington became a state, the Tree Farm has a long history of stewardship. Managing the Tree Farm for over 100 years has come to require increased intensive management of all the Tree Farm's resources. The Tree Farm is more than trees: it is also river and stream systems, wildlife, fish and recreation. These resources must be managed together for each to be at its best.

Recreational access to the Pysht Tree Farm is subject to the purchase of an annual access permit. The permit fee is $200, and permits are limited to the first 100 applicants. For 2006 permits may be purchased at M&R offices in Port Angeles and Pysht beginning March 31. All hunters and fishers must have a valid Washington State hunting and/or fishing license.
